SMASHING PUMPKINS Keyboardist Checks In From The Road

SMASHING PUMPKINS keyboardist Lisa Harriton has checked in with SmashingPumpkins.com and shared some more insight and photos from the road. An excerpt from her posting follows:

"We will be home for almost 2 and 1/2 months. Seeing as I haven't been home for more than 5 days at a time since April, there will definitely be an adjustment period. However, I think we are all ripe for some rest and replenishment.

"At last night's Dallas show, it really struck me how much we have all grown since April. Musically, we have taken lots of chances, turned arrangements inside out, memorized 70 songs or so. I have had a ball and I look forward to making more music together in 2008!"

As previously reported, Jimmy Flemion of THE FROGS joined Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin on stage during the encore of the SMASHING PUMPKINS show on November 13 in Austin, Texas after it was revealed that a special guest would be performing with them. Together they played THE FROGS song "I Only Play For Money". They also covered "Taxman" by THE BEATLES.

During SMASHING PUMPKINS' "Mellon Collie" era, John Flemion would often join the band on stage for "1979" and invite fans on stage to dance.

SMASHING PUMPKINS' latest album, "Zeitgeist", has been re-released and packaged with a full-length DVD documentary titled "Inside the Zeitgeist". The disc also contains three bonus tracks, including a previously unreleased song called "Ma Belle". The other songs included are "Stellar" and "Death from Above". This special version of "Zeitgeist" features an all-new metallic silver color scheme as well.

The "Zeitgeist" re-release is sold exclusively at Best Buy stores.
